Outlet types

Each outlet type, drawn so you can pick the right one.

Weldolet. Butt-weld branch, wall matched to the branch schedule

Sockolet. Socket-weld branch, Class 3000 and 6000

Threadolet. Threaded (NPT) branch, Class 3000 and 6000

Elbolet. Branch on the outside of an elbow

Latrolet. 45° lateral branch

Sweepolet. Contoured, low-stress branch for high-pressure lines

Nipolet. Integral nipple branch for vents and drains

Are olets made from forgings?

Yes. MSS SP-97 branch outlets are machined from forgings in the same grades as forged flanges and B16.11 fittings.
